NU grads top August 2017 Sanitary Engineer board exam

The National University achieved another significant feat after topping the August 2017 Sanitary Engineer board exam.

In the results released by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC), two NU bets garnered the highest scores to finish in the top two spots.

Paulo Vincent Juan Jose grabbed the number one spot with a score of 82.75% while John Ray Abaquita Labandero placed second with a score of 82.31%.

National U also registered a 65% passing rate on this edition, higher than the 51% national passing rate set by the PRC.

According to Sanitary Engineering program chair Engr. Alan Alzona, the college is very happy with this recent accomplishment.

“It is very fulfilling on our part because the program is delivering satisfactory results which means that the curriculum content is right and aligned to what the industry needs.”

Dean Alexa Ray Fernando shared, “Producing top notchers and board passers mean producing the best industry-ready graduates. We are integrating more curricular activities in the curriculum, which give our students more exposure to the real world. We are also investing on state-of-the-art laboratories which allow our students to use industry equipment and software to complement classroom learnings, thus equipping them better not just for the board exam but also for industry practice.
