NU College of Architecture spearheads research conference

The NU COA hosted the 18th Annual Conference for Architectural Research and Education (ACARE) last October 21-22 in the NU MOA campus.
Keynote speaker, NU Assistant Vice President for Research and Development, Dr. Jessie Barrot encouraged the college to publish its paper and come up with a journal despite research challenges. “Treat failure as a friend, it will teach you. Treat failure as an enemy, it will kill you.”
The two-day event consisted of six parallel sessions with topics about sustainable design, urban planning, construction techniques and other architectural practices and breakthroughs.
NU COA Dean and ACARE Director, Ar. Chona Ponce, PhD, acknowledged the universities who attended the conference and thanked National U and its Research and Development Office (RDO) for supporting the college in publishing its journal and guiding them in moving to the right direction.
COA aims to publish their scholarly journal NU JSTAR (Journal of Sciences Technology and Arts Research) with its special edition intended for ACARE presenters.
The ACARE 2023 Delegates comprise representatives from colleges and universities from different regions.
