National University supports Comelec’s Register Anywhere Project

National University is the first university partner of the Commission on Elections’ Register Anywhere Project (RAP). The partnership was sealed with a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Friday, January 20 at the Palacio Del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila.
The MOU signing was graced by NU Executive Vice President Dr. Rosauro Manuel, NU Fairview Executive Director Mr. Ricky Lawas and NU MOA Executive Director Dr. Leonora Concepcion while the Comelec was represented by their Chairman George Erwin M. Garcia, Executive Director Teopisto E. Elnas, Jr.,
Deputy Executive Director Rafael B. Olaño and other key officials.
NU vouched to help Comelec in its pursuit to bring the voter’s registration closer and easier to the Filipino people.
“We (NU) are always open in supporting the meaningful activities of different government agencies”, said EVP Manuel following the institution’s assistance to other government bodies; Pagibig, Philsy’s and DOH for Covid Vaccination.
Meanwhile, Comelec held a one-day voter’s registration in the NU Fairview campus on the same day, January 20 from 8 am to 5 pm.
The voter’s registration reopened last December 12 and will close on January 31.
