NU Fairview, through its School of Architecture (SOA), inks a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bakás Pilipinas, Inc.
This partnership aims to promote heritage preservation, with the Quiapo Heritage Zone as one of the focuses of the work.
Through this collaborative project, students from the BS Architecture program will undergo training in documentation, ethnographic surveying, and secondary research as a tool to promote the preservation of the area.
A brief signing ceremony was held in New York City, USA, attended by Ms.Roz Li (President, Bakás Pilipinas, Inc.), Ms. Caroline Pasion, and colleagues. NU Fairview was represented by Ar. Allen Buenaventura (SOA Faculty)
The main signatories for the university were Mr. Ricky Lawas (Executive Director) and Ar. Aurora Panopio, uap. (OIC Dean, School of Architecture)
Bakás Pilipinas is a New York-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of historic architecture and sites in the Philippines.
