NU CEAS celebrates 2nd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony

National University’s Psychology Department held their 2nd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Multi-Purpose Hall in the Annex Building last Saturday, September 9, with the theme “Sinag: A Beacon of Hope and the Quest for Excellence Among Psychology Practitioners.”
The pinning ceremony symbolizes their commitment to their profession while the candle lighting ceremony illuminates the students’ dedication to the principles of psychology.
Dr. Leo S. Del Rosario, Dean of the College of Education, Arts, and Sciences (CEAS), Psychology Department Program Chair Prof. Rita P. Aringo, and NU Psychology Society Adviser Prof. Ana Maria Josefina De Torres presided over the ceremony.
Senator Risa Hontiveros was one of the speakers. She emphasized in her testimonial message that the field of psychology requires passion and drive, not just work. Meanwhile, NU Alumna, Ms. Elma Mamaril, RPm, enlightened the fourth-year psychology students on what to expect in their profession.
The event reflected the department’s commitment to academic excellence and student development. It served as a testament to the department’s continued success in producing skilled and compassionate psychologists who are ready to make a positive impact on society.
