NU-AIPO lays out horizons of opportunity for Nationalians
The NU Manila Academic Internship and Placement Office conducted a career fair entitled “Career AveNUes: Internship and Job Fair”. Alumni and students from different colleges attended the event at the 12th floor Multipurpose Hall of Annex Building, February 8.
AVP for Academic Services Ms. Reina Gulmatico and SM Prime VP-HR Head Ms. Maria Margarita Guevara led the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with other NU key officials.
AVP Rein Gulmatico advised the students and alumni to embrace their journey and use their skills wisely because it will lead them to their chosen career. “Remember, the journey to success is not a solitary path but a collaborative effort. Engage with industry professionals, connect with them, and seize the chance to showcase your unique skills. Learn from your encounter and start to network with potential employers. Your journey to your professional success begins with a single connection – so make it count!”
SM Prime’s Ms. Guevara hoped that the event ignites the beginning of turning aspiration into action, “Create the path of success and start planting the seeds of hard work and determination by having an open heart and mind to learn and grow and be true Nationalians that contribute to positive transformation in the society and wherever you may be.”
The objective of the event was to provide the Nationalians with career opportunities from companies that belong to different industries; 2GO, BDO Unibank, China Bank, SM Investments, SM Prime Holdings, SM Markets, Watsons, SMDC, Goldilocks, JobStreet, IDEMIA, Equitable Computer Services Inc., Asian Hospital and Medical Center, The Medical Clinic, and De Los Santos Medical Center.
AIPO Director Ms. Pinky Sta Maria committed that the event was just the start of the many projects that they have lined up for students and alumni.
