Sir Joseph Marvin R. Imperial is the recipient of the Google AI and Tensorflow Faculty Award for his proposal entitled NU x TensorFlow: Enriching Student Machine Learning Experience with TensorFlow.
He got accepted to the Oxford Machine Learning Summer School, the most selective and prestigious ML summer school in the world.
He is currently a Researcher at the NU HLT Lab at National University Manila and an Assistant Professor of the Computer Science Department at National University.
Sir Joseph graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University Manila, and is an incoming PhD student at the University of Bath, UK under the UKRI Center for Doctoral Training Program in Accountable, Responsible, and Transparent Artificial Intelligence.
Just recently, he achieved yet another milestone under the NU Human Language Technology Lab affilition – placing 3rd against 37 participating teams in The International Conference on Cognitive Modeling and Computational Linguistics’ research hackathon competition called Shared Task.
Sir Joseph continuously brings pride to National University through his achievements, but most especially through his passion to improve, enrich, and empower the research program of the community.
