Engr. Alexa Ray R. Fernando or Dean Alexa to the National University community is the Dean of the College of Engineering.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, is a Master of Engineering in Electronics Engineering, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Engineering Education.

Since 2016, he has been the Dean of the College of Engineering at National University-Manila where he has made significant contributions such as the Program Accreditations of the Engineering Programs, opening of Undergraduate Engineering Programs in new NU Campuses, enhancement of the Board Exam Performance by producing 100% passing performance as well as top-notchers (the most recent achievement was claiming the # 2 spot in the January 2022 Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination) , and so much more. Apart from his work as the Dean, he has also been a professor at National University since 2016.

Dean Alexa is the First Vice President of the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools, Inc. and holds several other professional affiliations in the Engineering field both locally and internationally.

His vast knowledge, experience, and exemplary work in the Engineering field, paired with his credibility, integrity, and dedication as a leader, enables him to inspire aspiring engineers of National University to work hard and excel through #EducationThatWorks.
