“Wala po tayong ibang pinangarap na isang araw, mababasa natin sa dyaryo, mapapanuod natin sa TV ang isang magandang balita about National University,” he shared.

His speech also highlighted the prominence and greatness of the NU during his time and the status of the institution in the present time. And, while Nationalians have spent their days in different eras of excellence and greatness of the university, all have one thing in common—Nationalians are sons and daughters of NU.

Also, part of the celebration was the Alumni Ambassadorship which was presented to Nationalian Pride—Architect Bibs Luzande, Jr., Mr. Jonel Lunario, Dr. Angelique Lacasandile, Architect Geremias Barcebal, Mrs. Violeta Dela Fuente-Lapid, and Mr. Leander Lazaro, as they bring honor and prestige to their Alma Mater. The Exemplary Alumni Award was presented to Architect Joel Vivero Rico for his contribution as Head Consultant of the NU Museum, which will be opened to the public in August 2023. The NUMBT Head Coach Jefferson Napa also received the Exemplary Alumni Award for his outstanding expertise in the field of Basketball Coaching.
