Collegiate Basketball Press Conference fuels UAAP Season 86
The UAAP Season 86 Collegiate Basketball Press Conference took place last Wednesday, September 27, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
‘Fueling the Future’ of the highly anticipated UAAP Season 86, the organizing team promised a season filled with sportsmanship and lasting memories as they exemplify the spirit of resiliency, innovation, and determination that continues to promote a more inclusive collegiate sports in the Philippines.
Dr. Zosimo M. Battad, chairman of the hosting campus, shared that the theme represents the unwavering determination of the student-athletes and the entire UAAP community to overcome challenges and achieve greater heights. He added that their exceptional skills and potential to be the catalysts of change will be on display this season.
Moreover, the NU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Jeff Napa remarked, “Rest assured that we will come out strong, ready, and competitive this season.”
Meanwhile, Patrick Yu, the new captain of the NU Men’s Basketball Team, shared that despite losing some of the roster’s pillars, there are still a lot of skilled and devoted players who are ready to dominate the court and make the whole Nationalian community proud.
The NU Men’s Basketball team is set to face Ateneo in the opening day of the UAAP league at 4:00 PM this Saturday, September 30, at the MOA Arena.
