E-Waste Disposal Campaign Launch

Last October 25, 2024, the Community Extension Office, hosted the launch of the E-Waste Disposal Campaign in partnership with SM Cares and Smart Communications, Inc., marking a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability and responsible technology use.

Today, we celebrated a momentous occasion with the official signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between National University (NU) and Smart Communications, Inc. This partnership is a testament to our shared vision of promoting environmental stewardship and creating a cleaner, greener future for all.

E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world, and it’s crucial that we take proactive steps to address this challenge. Through this campaign, we aim to educate our community about the importance of proper e-waste disposal, reduce environmental hazards, and promote recycling practices. Our goal is not just to collect e-waste, but to transform it into valuable resources, ensuring that we minimize our ecological footprint. 🌱💻

The event was made successful in collaboration with the College of Computing and Information Technologies, Center for Innovation and Sustainable Development, Business Development and Linkages Office, Corporate Marketing and Communications Office, and Physical Facilities Management.
