The NU Pep Squad’s Elvis Presley-inspired routine earned a silver trophy in the UAAP Season 86 Cheerdance Competition, December 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Jhocson-based squad rocked the dance floor and set the bar high with their renowned jaw-dropping stunts and tosses under the rendition of its new mentor, Coach Gab Bajacan.

Following the podium finish, the first-year head coach vows to mentally prepare the team and bring home another gold next season.

Being hailed as the standard in the UAAP Cheerdance scene, Coach Gab is proud of the team for sweating their hearts out during practice and performing their 110% in the competition.

“Yun yung panghahawakan namin, to bring the crown back to Jhocson. We want to stay that way;” he concluded.
