UAAP Juniors Basketball: Jumamoy claims Season 85 MVP
NU-Nazareth School (NUNS) Bullpup Reinhard Jumamoy was named as the Season’s Most Valuable Player in the UAAP Juniors Basketball Division, March 17 at the Filoil EcoOil Center in San Juan.
The NUNS Bullpups maintained their podium appearance since Season 74 and finished the season as third best in the league. They accumulated an average of 79 points with 42.15% 2-point field goals, 41.4 points from rebound and 58.53 average points in the paint while the 5 ’11 MVP point guard established 102.5 statistical points, tallying 253 points, 136 rebounds, 97 assists, 39 steals and 8 blocks in the elimination rounds.
In an interview, Jumamoy expressed his gratitude and mentioned that the award was a confidence booster to his collegiate basketball transition. He explicitly said that he wants to play with his co-Cebuano pride Steve Nash Enriquez under the coaching of Jeff Napa and that he decided to commit for the gold and blue in the College Basketball arena.
This was the first-ever Season MVP award for National U in the history of UAAP High School basketball.
