The NU Women’s Volleyball Team was named the Champion of the 2024 Philippine University Games (UniGames) Dipolog Women’s Indoor Volleyball division, last January 27 in Zamboanga del Norte Convention and Sports Center.

The volleyball tournament started the week-long sports competition last January 21, aiming to clear the stigma that Mindanao is disorderly. As per the UniGames co-founder and president, Roger Banzuela, Mindanao also has its peaceful and lovable side.

More than 1,000 participants comprising of athletes and coaching staff from 31 universities and colleges nationwide were present as the association also celebrated its silver anniversary.

Meanwhile, the NU team considers this tournament as a good preparation for the upcoming UAAP Volleyball season.
