National University Philippines signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Globe Telecom, Inc. last December 12, at the NU Manila Campus.

With a fast-growing population and continuous expansion, Business Development and Linkages Office (BDLO) Director, Ms. Shainne Hostalero shared that one of NU’s goals is to future-proof the Nationalians by continuously providing them with actual office and industrial experiences in operations and management.

Meanwhile, Globe Recruitment Account Manager, Mr. Nelson S. Credo, Jr. shared that concurrent to their rebranding, they want to address the possible disconnect in the corporate world by enhancing internship programs and breathing the students their corporate persona.

He further emphasized the importance of training not just the students’ technical skills, but also their soft skills to unleash their full potential and be able to put them at the forefront.

The partnership encompasses BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science and BS Business Administration programs in all NU campuses.

National U was represented by NU Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Mr. Rolando T. Averilla, BDLO Director, Ms. Shainne Hostalero and the College of Computing and Information Technologies Dean, Mr. Avonn Nova while Recruitment, and Client Account Managers Mr. Nelson S. Credo, Jr., and Ms. Raquel Prado, respectively, were present for Globe Telecom, Inc.
