NU-Manila: Application Procedures

Freshmen

a student who is a high school graduate of a Philippine or international school, college or university and has not been admitted to any collegiate program in another Philippines school, college or university

Qualifications:

• Completed middle school or its equivalent, e.g. Philippine Educational Test (PEPT), Alternative Learning System (ALS) or a Non-Formal Equivalency test both given and certified by the Department of Education.
• Passing the National University Admissions Test (NUAT).

Transferee Student

a student from another Philippines school, college or university who has been granted Certificate of Transfer Credentials and seeks admissions in any of the collegiate programs of this University.

Qualifications:

• For degree programs with board exams, transferees are required to pass a higher cut off percentile to get admitted.
• The following degree programs does not accept admission of students who intend to take as a second degree or second coursers since this courses can only accept up to second year level as of the moment (new program):
  1. BS Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Services
  2. BS Real Estate Management
  3. BS Tourism Management

• Passing the National University Admissions Test (NUAT)

2. Register and apply in the online admission application via this link.
3. Fill out the NU Application Form.

Note: Each successful transaction will be confirmed with an email notification sent to the registered email account. Applicants will be notified through email for the result.

• Entrance exam is free of charge
• No retake policy
• The test results are valid for a period of one (1) year.

Cross-Enrollee

a student officially enrolled in another school, college or university who is permitted to cross-enroll in National University to take a subject that is not, at that moment, offered in his/her school, college or university.

Second Degree Student

a student who is a graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program from a Philippine school, college or university and pursues another Bachelor’s degree program offered in the University.

Graduate School Student

a student who earned a Bachelor’s degree program from a Philippine school, college or university and pursues an advanced academic degree offered within the University.
