National University inaugurates campus in Quezon City

Just a week after the formal opening of NU MOA, National University took one notch higher after inaugurating NU Fairview last September 25, 2019. Located in Brgy. Greater Lagro in Quezon City, it is one of the five towers built on top of the SM City Fairview and it is the third campus to be opened as part of the 10-year expansion plan of National U.

Present in the inauguration were officials from the 5th District of Quezon City, Congressman Alfred Vargas and Councilor PM Vargas, NU’s Vice Chairman of the Board Teodoro Jhocson-Ocampo, Board of Director Ramon Dimacali, National U president and CEO Dr. Renato Carlos Ermita Jr. and SM Supermalls COO Steven Tan.

A concelebrated mass was held before the blessing of the building, followed by a short program that showcased outstanding performances from the NU Chorale and NU Pep Squad. The event also featured the ceremonial ribbon cutting and unveiling of the campus marker that symbolized the official opening of the campus.

In his speech, NU President Ermita shared that when Chairman Hans T. Sy announced the plan to expand NU nationwide, everyone from the board agreed to put up a branch in Fairview.

“We have a good thing going and we are driven by the belief that National University’s education and value base are truly worth sharing to the rest of the country. NU’s commitment to the country are quality, affordable and accessible education to all Filipinos, nationwide.”, President RJ said.

NU Fairview will feature extension programs from NU main campus namely Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and an extension class of Asia Pacific College namely Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with specialization in Mobile and Internet Technologies.

Next year, National U is targeting to open two more campuses in Bulacan and Cavite.
