National U to offer two new degree programs by June 2018
National University continues to provide innovative and accessible quality education as it is set to expand its course offerings to be available to students by June this year.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recently gave National U the go-signal to offer two new programs; Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management under the College of Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science which will be under the College of Allied Health.
CHM Dean Rufino Oliva said that this is a very big development for their college and also for the university.
“The HRM program started way back in 2009 and it’s almost 9 years now so we are very happy that we were given the permit to operate two programs for the college next school year; BS HRM which will now be called BS Hospitality Management and BS Tourism Management.”
MedTech program chair Prof. Edison Ramos said that they are expecting a lot of enrolees for the program since they have been receiving inquiries about the course since last year.
They are also confident with the facilities to be used for the new degree programs since the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of CHED thoroughly evaluated the program application before giving their recommendation to CHED.
