National University officially inaugurated its second campus in Central Luzon and the 7th of its 20-school expansion plan last Friday, September 22, 2023, in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

President and CEO, Dr. Renato Carlos Ermita Jr. stressed that bringing the NU brand of Education in Pampanga positively contributes not only to the shared dreams of both Don Mariano Jhocson and Henry Sy, Sr., but also to its continuous commitment towards educating more Filipinos and the improvement of the Filipino identity.

He further shared that National U’s mission of expanding its reach nationwide only begins in the corners of Metro Manila and Luzon’s key regional and provincial centers but will also be offered in Visayas and Mindanao.

On the other hand, President of SM Supermalls, Mr. Steven Tan, emphasized that “Education is the greatest equalizer” and that the transformative potential of NU in providing ‘Education that works’ promotes academic equality and opportunities for all students nationwide.

Executive Director Dr. Arnel Diego and Academic Director Dr. Priscilla Evangelista extended their heartfelt gratitude to all the guests and collaborators who graced NU Clark’s momentous event.

The highlight of the event was the Ribbon Cutting and Marker Unveiling Ceremony led by President Ermita along with Provincial and City Officials of Mabalacat, Pampanga and SM Supermalls’ President Mr. Steven Tan. While, performances from NU Chorale, NU Dance Company, Tawag ng Tanghalan, three-time defending champion Joanna Roman Garcia and the Balayan, a percussion group of kids, brought entertainment to the guests.
