Major in Fitness and Sports Coaching
BSESS is a four-year trimestral undergraduate degree program that offers you the chance to start your career in an industry that is going from strength to strength. Using scientific principles, this degree trains you to be a sports scientist in fitness and sports coaching. It works as a solid preparation for study in areas such as human growth, aging, athletic training, biomechanics, exercise physiology, health promotion, or sport psychology.
The fitness and sports coaching major is a standalone degree that it enhances and complements the coaching licensure and/or certification accredited by relevant international and national governing sports bodies, as well as fitness-related certifications by reputable organizations in the field. This knowledge and skills base allows graduates to address the relevant needs of employers and pursue further specialization studies.
All students are given the opportunity to train in football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, including the opportunity to use INSPIRE Sports Academy’s high-performance gym.
BS Exercise and Sports Science graduates may find themselves in the following job roles:
- Exercise and Sports Specialist working in national sports associations (NSAs), government organizations, scholastic and professional sports programs
- Fitness and Sports Program Specialist in community sports and wellness
