Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System program prepares students competent and ethical professional management accountants that possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to continue to learn and adapt to change throughout their professional lives. The program aims to develop the qualities that enhance the students’ professional and research competence, awareness of their responsibilities to society and appreciation of the accountants’ high standard of integrity and objectivity. The program also prepares the students for the international and global assessment for certifications and pass after graduation for them to be Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor. Moreover, this program may serve as a stepping stone to pursue BS Accountancy and pass after graduation for them to be Certified Public Accountants.

As described in the CMO, accounting information system professionals link operational activities, financial resource generation and consumption, value generation, and preservation through a well-functioning information system. They are expected to apply accounting, finance, and computer skills in the context of the business, influencing the decisions, actions, and behaviors of others, and thus, assisting and/or leading the organization at different levels.
