The Silver Peak Group of Companies (SPGC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NU Lipa last November 7, 2023. SPGC owns and operates chains of restaurants including Hungry Hippo, Butch Restaurant, Shakey’s Restaurant, Ineng’s and Bo’s Coffee at several locations in Batangas province and neighboring towns. The MOU defines the areas for industry-university endeavors, including internship, work immersion, lectureship, sponsorship, and endorsements, among others.

The signing ceremony took place at the SPGC Corporate Center in Batangas City, with Ms. Pauline Plata-Bondad (Vice President) and Ms. Arglene Briones (HR Manager), while NU Lipa was represented by Mr. Avelino D. Palupit (Executive Director), Mr. Bernie S. Fabito (Academic Director), Dr. Rowena C. Alcoba (AILPO Coordinator), together with Ms. Tiffanny Gail Nova (SHS Principal) and Ms. Alea Shane Alcantara (Faculty Services Officer).
