“Closing this chapter bright, and lighting to the next.”
APC Students, teachers, and staff gathered together last December 15, 2023, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas through the annual APC Christmas Lighting Ceremony held at Humabon Parking Lot.
The APC Christmas Lighting Ceremony is an annual celebration held in the institution to celebrate and spread the festive spirit among the students, faculty, and staff. This tradition was initially celebrated back in December 2020, when most of the APC community was celebrating Christmas in their own homes.
The showcase of lanterns began with bright lanterns from the Senior High School (SHS), School of Management (SoM), School of Computing and Information Technology (SoCIT), School of Engineering, School of Multimedia and Arts (SoMA), School of Architecture (SoAr), and Graduate School.
During the program, General Education Head Ar. Manolet Garcia shared four reasons why we love Christmas: presents, because they are sustainable; food, because that is where everyone gathers as a family; decorations, which enhances and makes Christmas memorable; and events, which gives everyone an opportunity to celebrate together.
This year’s Christmas ID, titled Christmas Never Ends was produced by Take Two Studios led by Brian Seldong, which featured performances from the APC Performing Arts Group (APC Band, APC Strings, APC Dance Company, and APC Band).
Christmas Never Ends is “a heartwarming holiday song, created by APC Students and Alumni, that captures the essence of warmth, belonging, and perpetual joy through its melodic verses and infectious chorus.”
During the end of the program, APC’s Executive Directors shared their appreciation to everyone who attended the lighting ceremony, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
