NU Laguna Strengthens Commitment to Sustainable Community Partnerships
NU Laguna continues to deepen its commitment to community engagement and sustainable development through a series of impactful initiatives spearheaded by its Community Extension Office this July. These activities are part of NU Laguna’s ongoing mission to build meaningful, long-term partnerships that promote inclusive growth and empowerment.The Community Extension Office hosted an orientation and reorientation session for new and current employees, aimed at reinforcing the university’s extension framework. The event featured a lecture on Community Needs Assessment and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), facilitated by Dr. Felino Gutierrez, Jr. Representatives from the Calamba City Population Management Office also participated, fostering inter-agency collaboration for future joint initiatives.
Faculty representatives from academic programs convened with officials of Barangay Milagrosa, led by Hon. Randy M. Sulit and the barangay council, to initiate discussions on sustainable community projects. This meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative planning process aimed at ensuring that NU Laguna’s outreach efforts are aligned with the actual needs and priorities of local residents.
