NU Baliwag continues to lead in providing innovative and experience-driven education as its 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students successfully completed the Compass Safety Management Training last June 3–4, 2025, at the Compass Training and Convention Center in Silang, Cavite. This initiative was made possible through Lakbay Nasyonalyan, further solidifying NU Baliwag’s commitment to excellence in tourism education.

The two-day intensive training equipped students with vital competencies in safety, survival, and emergency preparedness—skills that are indispensable in the ever-evolving tourism and hospitality industry. Through hands-on activities and real-world simulations, NU Baliwag ensures that its students are not only academically prepared but also industry ready

Highlights of the Training:

• Simulated Emergency Scenarios: Students applied theoretical knowledge in realistic drills, reinforcing their ability to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies.

• Team Building Exercises: Designed to cultivate teamwork and leadership, these activities closely mirrored the learning objectives of NU Baliwag’s Recreation and Leisure Management course.

• Survival Techniques: Practical lessons on first aid, crisis response, and risk mitigation deepened students’ understanding of safety protocols.
