NU Baliwag Hospitality Management (HM) Students Triumph at Siklab Nationalian: NU Inter-Branch Skills Competition
NU Baliwag’s Hospitality Management (HM) students showcased their exceptional skills and talent at the recently concluded Siklab Nationalian: NU Inter-branch Skills Competition, bringing home multiple championships and top honors across various categories.
Leading the roster of champions were Joshua Alvarez, Bernard Paolo Bernardo, and Hazel Prejan, who dominated the Table Setting Category (Mesa Mahika) and emerged as champions. In the Napkin Folding Category (Kulturang Kupin), NU Baliwag continued to shine as Symon Tan claimed the championship title in the male division, while Cristel Diesta secured the top spot in the female division. An amazing performance came from April Melendrez, who emerged in the Waiter’s Relay Female Category (Serve it Up), demonstrating outstanding agility, precision, and service skills.
Meanwhile, John Gabriel Enriquez displayed remarkable efficiency and speed, securing First Place in the Waiter’s Relay Male Category (Serve it Up). Aries John Supan earned First Place in the Bedmaking Category (Master the Mattress), showcasing professionalism and expertise in this category.
These remarkable achievements would not have been possible without the guidance and mentorship of the dedicated coaches: Chef EJ Cunanan, Bienvenido Manabat, Reynita del Fonso, Emerson Cruz, Jean Ludette Salvador, and Rowena Fe Magcale. Their expertise and unwavering support played a crucial role in shaping the students into champions.
This achievement aligns with the SDG Goal 4: Quality Education, by fostering skills development and promoting excellence in the hospitality industry.
Their victories not only bring honor to the institution but also inspire future generations to strive for excellence in the field of hospitality and tourism.
Congratulations, NU Baliwag HM students!
