NU Clark, SM Cares, and Partners Launch “Project KABANATA” with Book and Supply Donations for Calumpang Elementary School
In a powerful display of unity and shared purpose, National University Clark, in partnership with SM Cares, SM Foundation, and SM City Clark, officially launched Project KABANATA — a community initiative aimed at enriching the educational experience of public school learners.
As part of Phase 1, the program focused on enhancing literacy and learning opportunities by donating 500 brand new books to Calumpang Elementary School. These books are intended to boost reading engagement and supplement the school’s academic resources, empowering both students and teachers with better tools for quality education.
Further extending the impact of this initiative, NU Clark also took part in Project Puso sa Bawat Piso, a fundraising effort that successfully gathered approximately Php 20,000. These funds were used to purchase and donate school supplies for all learners at Calumpang Elementary School—ensuring that no child is left behind due to a lack of basic learning materials.
This outreach effort aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), specifically:
🎯 Goal 4 – Quality Education: Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
🤝 Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Strengthening partnerships to support and achieve the ambitious targets of the 2030 Agenda.
NU Clark is proud to stand alongside SM Cares, SM Foundation, and SM City Clark in building bridges between education and community development. Through Project KABANATA, we reaffirm our commitment to being not only an institution of learning but also a partner in nation-building.
Together, we are helping write new chapters of hope, opportunity, and success for the next generation.
