Bernie S. Fabito, or Sir Boggs to the National University Community is NU Lipa’s Academic Director and Program Chair of its BS Information Technology Partner.

Sir Boggs graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science in IT from Romblon State University and a Master’s degree in IT from Polytechnic University of the Philippines. To further master his craft, he is taking on his Doctorate in IT from De La Salle University – Manila.

Hence, it is not a surprise that he is a recipient of both Faculty Excellence Award and Faculty Research Award for multiple years in his young career. In his pursuit of continued excellence in his field, he spearheaded National University’s (NU) 1st International Conference in Computing and Information Research (iCORE2021 (i-core.org)) with publication in IEEEXplore and Indexing in Scopus. Before joining NU Lipa, he served as the program chair of the NU CCIT graduate programs from 2020 to Term 2 of 2021 – 2022.

Sir Boggs is a regular member of the National Research council of the Philippines and a recipient of Recipient of the ACM SIGMIS paper presentation scholarship 2019 (USA). Also, he authored more than 30 research papers and presented them all over the world.

Of all his personal achievements, one that we’re truly proud and grateful for is his commitment to put National University in the IT Global stage.
